Tell us about yourself
I grew up in Chicago. My favorite thing to do is travel, I’ve been to Japan, Mexico & Hawaii. I’m studying to be a Broadcast Journalist. I want to help refugees. My inspiration is Angelina Jolie. I love kids. I’m a henna artist. Writing is my passion. I’m also a blogger.

What inspired you to become a model?
I want to become an inspiration to young girls & teach them self-love. Young girls who look like me are not often represented in media, so I want to help with that.

What agency or agencies do you aspire to work with?
I really would love to be signed with Wilhelmina.

What fashion talents, brands would you like to collaborate with?
I’d love to work with Nike.

What challenges have you faced so far in your modeling career?
My height is my biggest factor. I also struggle with a little acne. My skin isn’t the best, but I won’t let it hold me back in what I love doing.

What magazines do you aspire to be published in?
I’d love to be in Vogue, Elle, Ebony & 17 magazine.

Do you have a favorite model or someone you look up to?
I love Chanel Iman, Bella Hadid, & Arlenis Sosa.

Do you have a certain “creative” style as a model?
I love to be as creative as possible. Editorial is my favorite, it’s very artistic.

What influence do you want to have on individuals who will look up to you as a role model?
I want to let them know that it’s a beautiful thing to not look like anyone else. It’s okay to be different & have a unique look to you. Everyone may not like you, but that’s okay because there are so many different people who would love you for who you are.

What changes do you want to make in the modeling world?
Short models are valid too. Dark skin should be accepted just as much as white skin is.

What would you say to someone who may have a negative view of modeling?
Modeling has many different sides to it. Of course some may be true but that’s in every job profession.

How did you feel when you did your first ever fashion show or photo shoot?
I felt nervous. But I knew what look I wanted to go for. I know that you have to be creative in front of the camera in order to inspire your photographer. I eventually grew out of it.

Do you have any beauty tips? Beauty routines you practice?
I love face masks. Natural beauty products is where all of my money goes!

Outside of modeling, what are other life goals you have?
I want to work with refugees. I care about Human Rights & I want to shed light on what doesn’t get media coverage.

If a young girl/boy wanted to be a model what would your advice for them be?
Be yourself. Never apologize for who you are. Be confident & know what you want. Don’t let anyone make a fool of you or ridicule you.
